Boto Bojang, counselor of Sanyang Ward, donated football materials and cash amount to the Tujerang Sports Committee, during a presentation held at the Tujereng football ground on Saturday.
The presentation ceremony coincided with the curtain raiser final between QPR and Manchester United. The super cup final begins the new nawetten season for Tujereng Sports Committee.
Speaking during the presented ceremony, Boto Bojang, Counselor of Sanyang expressed delight for the peaceful and successful staging of the football tournaments in Tujereng.
He added that football or sports cannot go in the absence of peace, while calling on the new sports committee of Tujereng to always preach about sports in the village.
While receiving the items, Fabakary Marena, chairman of Tujereng Sports Committee thanked Counselor Bojang for the support, noting that his new committee is ready to develop all types of sports in Tujereng community.
he went on to revealed that one of their challenges faced with his committee is lack of sponsorship to develop sports in the village.
“We are still appealing for assistance to ensure that we achieve our goals in sports development in the community,” he said.
According to him, his committee has set to hold balloting for the new nawettan season this weekend on Saturday 20tth August, with the nawettan proper set to begin the following weekend on Sunday 28 August 2022.
