Coach Nyassi says Brikama Utd had bad season after losing FF Cup final

Modou Lamin Nyassi, head coach of Brikama United said that his side had a bad season after losing the FF Cup final against Wallidan FC.

Brikama United were beaten 4-2 in the FF Cup final – their only hope of trophy this season was to Wallidan during a game played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Sunday.

The sateba boys, Brikama united who started the season very brightly during the first round of the league settled for trophyless this season.

“I think we have a bad season after losing the FF Cup final. We started the season very good in the first round and very woeful in the second round. We need to rectify our mistakes in the second round and also in the FF Cup final,” said Coach Modou Lamin Nyassi of Brikama United.

According to him, they played against a team who are serial champions, adding that Wallidan FC is a big team and bigger than Brikama United.

“Brikama United is growing, although we came to win the FF Cup. But we played a draw in regulation time and ended up losing in shootouts.”

He went on to thank both teams (Brikama United and Wallidan FC) for putting up a respectable performance.

As the runners-up of the FF Cup, Brikama United received a hundred thousand dalasi (D100,000) and silver medals.

Meanwhile, Brikama United finished the GFF 1st Division League in 5th position with 39 points, leveling with Team Rhino after playing 30 matches.
