The Sukuta Sports Committee has set aside Saturday 3 September 2022 for its Nawettan curtain raiser (Super Cup) final between league champions Nema Youth and the knockout winners Black Pool FC.
The game which is slated to be played at the Sukuta football field tomorrow is expected to be graced by sports and football enthusiasts both in and outside the community.
Nema Youth FC defeated Manchester United during the league final played in 2019, while the Sanchaba based team, Black Pool beat Tottenham FC during the knockout final played in the same year.
Meanwhile, there has not been a nawettan football proper in the country for the past two years due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
According to the General Secretary of the Sukuta Sports Committee, Alagie Fatty, everything is set for the final, adding that they know the people and youth of the community football due to the covid-19.
“We have everything set to entertain and also help to nurture talents. We are preparing to conduct one of the biggest and best football nawettan seasons in the community.”
He also went to call on the youths and teams of the committee to be violence free, adding that they aim to hold this year’s nawettan free from violence.
