Serrekunda West Nawettan Update

The Serrekunda West Sports Development Organisation (SWESDO) intensified its Nawettan tournament after already playing about eleven fixtures with some interesting scorelines.

This year’s Serrekunda West Nawettan tournament came with a difference as they always awarded a certificate at the end of every game to the Man of the Match and also gave football to hattrick goal-scorers.

Anfield, Jeshwang City, Bilbao and Kaw Tally joined other teams to register victory in their latest matches in the ongoing SWESDO nawettan.

Anfield FC defeated Babun Fatty in their opening group B encounter played earlier at the Serrekunda West Mini-Stadium last Thursday. Demba Jammeh scored the game’s only goal for Anfield FC.

Anfiled FC’s star player Sheikh Gaye was awarded Man of the Match award for his fantastic performance during the game.

Elsewhere, Jeshwang United thrashed BK Central 4-0 during the second game played last Thursday.

Karamo Marong scored a hattrick, while Babucarr Tumaneh added his name on the scoresheet for Jeshwang United against BK Central.

Due to his remarkable performance and also scoring three goals, Karomo Marong Jeshwang United striker was awarded the Man of the Match award with a certificate and a football.

Bilbao FC beat Real de Jeshwang 1-0 during the earlier group C game played last Friday.

Albert scored the only goal of the match for Bilbao FC after his fine finish.

Muhammed Buossey of Bilbao was awarded the Man of the Match award for his outstanding performance.

Blackpool FC played a barren goalless draw against Kanifing Layout during the other group C game played on Saturday.

Abdoukarim Jarra was given the Man of the Man award for his fine performance.

DK United also played a barren goalless draw against Tababi FC during the late game played on Saturday.

Sankung Camara of Tababi FC was awarded the Man of the match by the SWESDO committee for his good performance.

Kaw Tally defeated Jarintong 2-0 during the late group D encounter played on Sunday morning.

Sheikh Hydara and Ebrima Faal scored for Kaw Tally during the game, while Ebrima Faal of Tababi was awarded the Man of the Match award.

Campbell Town also defeated Manga-11 2-0 during the Sunday afternoon played at the Serrekunda West Park.

Baboucarr Badjie and Gibril Sosseh scored for Campbell Town, while Omar Jallow of Campbell Town was awarded the Man of the Match award.

Junction Bii were held to a goalless draw by Celtic FC during the group E match played on Sunday.

Sang Mendy of Celtic was awarded the Man of the Match award for his good performance by the SWESDO committee.
