In the ongoing criminal case involving Abubacarr Jallow, the accused and Ousainatou Sidibeh, the complainant, the PW3 in the case has revealed that the accused threatened the complainant of uploading her nude pictures on social media if she didn’t send him (accused) D5000.
Testifying in the case before the Brikama Magistrates’ Court presided over by Magistrate Ebou Sowe, the PW3 PC 4624 Sankung Marong in his narration said Abubacarr Jallow was reported to his office on 23rd June 2022 and the complainant, Ousainatou Sidibeh said the accused, Abubacarr Jallow sent her text messages on her replaced SIM Card in her new phone after her previous phone was stolen. She said the accused was requesting and threatening her to send D5000 to him and if she didn’t send it he (Abubacarr Jallow) will upload her nude pictures on social media.
PW3 went on in his testimony to say a lover (name withheld) of the accused played part in the scamming of the complainant, Ousainatou Sidibeh.
He stated that he caught the accused when he (PW3 Sankung Marong) visited the complainant’s house saying “upon my arrival at the complainant’s house I found the lover of the accused (name withheld) in a confrontation with the complainant, Ousainatou Sidibeh and I took her (lover of the accused )cellphone to dial the scammer’s number but found out that it belonged to the accused, Abubacarr Jallow. However, on my way to the accused’s house, I found him sitting alone and I identified him by calling his name and he answered yes.”
At this juncture the Police Prosecuting Officer, 4624 Alagie Jallow presented to the court the suspected Smart LG cellphone as an exhibit and it was admitted and marked as exhibit A, and later adjourned the case to the 24th of October 2022 for the accused to give his defence.
Meanwhile, the particular of his offence states that Abubacarr Jallow on or about the 18th June 2022 at Old Yundum in West Coast Region, stole a smart LG mobile phone of Ousainatou Sidibeh and assaulted her on her neck.
