Fatoumatta Touma Njie, National Assembly Member (NAM) for Banjul South Constituency has called for the re-election of Rohey Malick Lowe, Mayor of Banjul City Council (BCC), and Talib Ahmed Bensouda, Mayor of Kanifing Municipality Council (KMC) in the forthcoming Local Government Mayoral and Chairmanship elections slated for early next year.

The controversial lawmaker made this calls Wednesday, on her Facebook page, where she stated that re-electing the duo for continuity of their services is what’s on her mind.

According to her, the two Mayors are untouchable in their Municipalities and have not seen any contender who can challenge them for the hot Mayoral seats of Banjul and Kanifing in the forthcoming election. “Re-electing them is what’s on my mind. Continuity is best for BCC and KMC. We can’t do any better than these two,” Banjul South NAM observed. She added: “Can’t see anyone in Banjul to unseat My Mayor Rohey, likewise my darling brother Talib.

“We need them, we’ll do our utmost to see them back.” She continued to disclose that any concerned Gambian would equally buy the idea of retaining the duo, Rohey Malick Lowe and Talib Ahmed Bensouda while calling for the people of BCC, KMC and WCR to replicate what has happened at the parliamentary polls by voting against the President and his National People’s Party (NPP). “Thank you, Gambia.”

“Thank you KMC, BCC WCR for saying no to ineptitude in the past parliamentary elections. Let’s do the same in the local government elections,” Controversial Banjul South, National Assembly Member, Fatoumatta Njie fondly called Touma Njie, advised.
