The Gambia U-23 team were beaten and eliminated out of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers by Burkina Faso during a game played at the Grand Stade de Marrakech in Morocco on Tuesday.
The Scorpions were beaten 2-1 at home in Morocco the Stallions.
The Gambia came into the game with a 1-0 advantage but succumbed in the second leg and despite finishing the tie 2-2 on aggregate, the Burkinabes advanced to the next round on the away goal rule.
Meanwhile, The Gambia played its home game in Morocco due to the CAF imposed ban on the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
The Burkinabes will now face The Gambia’s neighbours Senegal U-23 team in the next round of the Africa Paris Olympic qualifiers
