Information Minister launches 3DGam-3DGlobal five years strategic plan

Honourable Lamin Queen Jammeh, the Minister of Information and Communication, on Thursday, officially launched the Decision Determine Destiny (3DGam and 3DGlobal) platform five-year strategic plans.

This followed the organization’s activities in various development areas across the Gambia since its inception in 2017, while organization jointly commemorated its fifth existence anniversary.

As 3DGam focuses on activities within the Gambia, the 3DGlobal as a sister branch also focuses on activities beyond the Gambian territory which both focused on the same progressive agenda to a wider range.

Speaking at the YMCA premises where the event was held, Minister Jammeh congratulated the organization founders for their five years in existence and their active participation in national development, while he outlined with recognition the organization’s efforts to complement the government’s efforts to national development which he said that there is no single government in the world that is self-sufficient and able to provide the development and aspiration of her people.

He noted that knowing 3DGam to have turned to five years, he commended them for their active contribution to national development. He noted that the Gambia government under President Adama Barrow’s leadership prides an open ground for all development actors guaranteed by a democratic environment that gives every individual the opportunity desired as guaranteed in the constitution and laws of the Gambia.

He underscored that he looks forward to the organization’s steps to strengthen its relations with the Gambia government to effectively complement the government’s targets to enhance development in the nation.

As 3DGam also focuses on women and youth empowerment, he advanced that empowering the women and youth of the Gambia is a desirable venture for the Gambia government, while he further revealed government readiness to collaborate with the objective of the development of the Gambia.

Momodou Sabally, former Secretary General and Minister of Presidential Affairs commended the founders for their outstanding performance over the years as well as other NGOs for their contributions to national development, particularly in the educational areas.

He noted the recognition of MGOs in the Gambia to have effectively contributed to national development, particularly in the provision of quality education to Gambian and non-Gambian children, while he urged other NGOs to emulate one another in the interest of national development.

On behalf of Amadu Marrong, 3DGam Chairman, Deputy Secretary General Alassan Bah said that in half a decade, 3DGam started the journey of pure selflessness with the vision of “Radiating goodness in mankind” with the mission “to advance in humanity.”

DSG Bah noted that the program is significant and symbolic for many reasons since five years ago to date, young Gambian men and women from different backgrounds came together with the clear motive and primary objectives of creating an organization that is going to be in all-inclusive fighting for the

“After the establishment of the organization, there were numerous activities undertaken in the areas of education, democracy, and human rights advocacy. For the past five years, the 3DGam has visited various schools across the nation to interact with students and had sessions with educationists in trying to sell the ideals of democracy and human rights,” he informed.

He further noted that the 3DGam is also into health development, that in 2020, they distributed medical equipment to various health facilities in the Gambia, adding that the 3DGam has also signed different MoUs with different ministries while they are looking forward to more partnerships with other institutions soon to cement their future activities.

Former Information Minister, Demba Ali Jawo congratulated the organization on its anniversary and its dedication to national development.
