Gambia Artistes performed at an international cultural festival called the IYFMMC in the city of Kazan in Russia.
BARHAMA singer, Ansumana Kora player and DJ G Faal whom together work with the producers of the event to to producer the them song of the festival.
This happeend in Kazan which was awarded the youth capital because of its vibrant and diverse culture with endless possibilities for young people in all areas of life especially in culture.
Gibril Faal, alias G Faal, chief executive of Smile Nation said it was a plasure to work with the head of the festival and organizers to bring Gambian artistes to to show their art and culture through music at the festival. After going thorough a tough selection process, team Gambia was confirmed to perform.
The main purpose of this is to take the Gambia culture to places it has not reach yet as and its going to the first time Gambia artistes will be participating in that part of the county. There was musical concerts, networking and international collaboration with artists around the world.
DILBAR , head of the festival was happy about them Gambia’s performance and contribution to the festival.
The minister of youth of Kazan said that the performance was the greatest and he is hoping to see us performance again soon.
“This is a start of something great and we Will continue to collaborate with the Kazan officials to export and import our cultures between the two nations”
