Lamin Bob, a resident of Sami Village in Lower Nuimi accused of setting a man ablaze recently appeared before a regional magistrate court in the North Bank Region.
Pouring petrol on one Sulayman Ceesay and setting his body ablaze recently appeared before principal magistrate Anna O. Mendy of North Bank Magistrates’ Court.
According to the bill of indictment filed by the police prosecutors before Magistrate Anna O. Mendy, the accused on October 19th at Sami Village unlawfully poured petrol on one Sulayman Ceesay and set his body ablaze and thereby causing him a grievous harm.
The accused however, pleaded guilty to the charge and subsequently he was remanded at the state central prison at mile after the police prosecutor Kumba Coor objected to the bail due to the uncertainty recovery of the victim, Sulayman Ceesay.
