Drug Trafficker granted bail

Abou Gangeh, a resident of Bakoteh who is charged with drug trafficking has been granted bail in the sum of D250,000, on Wednesday, 16th November 2022 by Magistrate Agi Bintou Faal of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court.

The 48-year-old AbouGangeh pleaded not guilty to the charge filed against him when it was read and interpreted to him in the language he understood.

The particular of his offence revealed that Abou Gangeh on the 18th August 2022 at Wellingara Police Station and its diverse places had in his possession 200grams of cannabis sativa, a prohibited drug, thereby committed an offence.

However, prosecutor Sannna Camara said it is a bailable offence and it is right to be given bail.

Magistrate A. B. Faal granted the accused bail in the sum of D250,000 with one Gambian guarantor while the case was adjourned to 29th of November 2022
