I-Care Optics, a privately owned eye care clinic on Wednesday 7 December 2022, inaugurated its head office along the Senegambia Highway, Kololi, at the former Dream Park.
Mr. Muhammad Alam, chief executive officer (CEO) I-Care Optics, who delivered the opening statement, disclosed that I- Care Optics is an eye clinic established on 15th June 2022, with the ultimate goal to provide efficient, accessible, and affordable eye care services and products to the public.
According to him, the clinic provides various professional eye diagnostic services that are handled by professional ophthalmic, dispensing opticians, and contact lens practitioners.
He further revealed that the eye clinic also provides eye examination, and sales of frames, lenses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. “This company offers several eye services including eye testing services, refraction (both objective and subjective) retinoscopy and autorerefractometry.
“We also have several eye items on sale that include spectacles and accessories or dispensary, sunglasses UV and polarized photochromic with Arc lenses tinted or polarized lenses, blue max lenses, multifocal lenses among others,” he added.
Muhammad Alam pointed out that since its establishment- Care Optics has contributed to the development of the Gambia, noting that it has been providing free eye examination for officials of the Gambia Immigration Department, Jerseys and balls to local football clubs as well as free eye examination to some retired government officials and old people who are financially weak as part of its social corporate responsibility.
Awa Njie, marketing manager, I-Care Optics highlighted that the establishment is created with the view to meaningfully contribute toward the development of the country through the provision of essential eye care services to Gambian people.
She revealed that many Gambians are suffering from eye complications and ailments that retard their social and economic performance, noting the eye clinic is the remedy to the various eye complications with readily available experts to handle cases.

He said the pricing quotations of the clinic are tailored to suit the affordability of the poor and vulnerable.
