The police prosecution witness, Lamin Jaiteh has told the Brikama Magistrate Court that he was stabbed with a knife by Dawda Sarjo after he reported the matter to Sanyang police station.
Testifying before Magistrate Agie Bintou Faal, the witness revealed that after reporting the accused to the said police station following a dispute between the accused and his sister, the accused threatened to kill him with a knife but he ended up sustaining injuries on his left hand.
Pw1 further testified that the accused also threatened his father by setting the entire family house ablaze.
Police Prosecuting Officer, Inspector Kemo Y. Manneh at that point told the court the said knife was recovered by the police officers before seeking for an adjournment and the matter was subsequently adjourned to 28th December for continuation.
The bill of indictment filed by the police investigators alleged that the accused Dawda Sarjo revealed that the accused on 9th November 2022 at Sanyang village unlawfully assaulted Muhammed Lamin Jaiteh by stabbing him with a knife on his left hand and thereby causing injuries.
