It’s good to be back after a short break!
It’s also heartwarming to welcome 2023 with wide, open arms while we celebrate the feathers we’ve managed to put on our cap in 2022.
Meanwhile, the arrival of 2023 offers yet another opportune moment for us here at The Voice to look back at where we fell short in 2022 and how to make up for the shortfalls in the current year.
The year just gone has been a very packed one for us here at The Voice.
Our reporters and editors spent over 300 days, assiduously working to take information to every level of society.
Our quality reporting on politics, crime, society, health, food security, economy, tourism, legal issues, security, and African and international affairs, among others, has translated to a wider readership base and growing public appeal for ad spaces.
The Voice can describe the year just ended as truly a remarkable one in that it did not only test our resolve to execute our work but also tested our will to persist in the face of a bagful of challenges.
We battled all odds to see 2022 through and we did not thankfully disappoint.
From the inauguration of Mr. Adama Barrow as President for the second time to the notorious Sainabou Mbye case and AFCONS to Miss Gambia 2022, we were everywhere, giving you quality information!
Remarkable, isn’t it?
Indeed, we covered a lot of ground!
We were keenly observing the turmoil in the essential commodity market and we reported on it extensively.
We amplified the voices of farmers, housewives, commuters, fishmongers, women vegetable growers, drivers, and other voices we may not be able to mention here.
And, we are determined to do more in 2023.
In 2023, The Voice will diversify its tools of information sharing as we are well advanced with our plan to launch our YouTube channel and other platforms.
So, help us, God!
In the meantime, The Voice family says Happy New Year.
