Queen Park Ranger last Saturday’s tournament favourites Man City United to secure a spot in the semi-final by 3 goals to 1  in their post-match dispute played at the Tujereng football field.

Modou Lamin Trawally opened the scoresheet   for Man City United in the 19th

minute of the game before Sulayman Ndong equalized for the defending champions of Queen Park Rangers.

Lamin Marenah doubled the lead for Queen Park Rangers in the 82nd minute of the game before Abdou Jatta’s brilliant goal in stoppage time.

Speaking to The Voice Sports, Malang Maraneh the assistant coach of Queen Parks Ranger praised his team for the victory and noted that he was confident of winning the game.

”Despite being denied   3 points after defeating our rivals    Man City by 1 goal to nail in a violence match that was stopped by the central referee we still maintained our performance here today,” he added.

Ousman Jaiteh the head coach of Man City on his part lamented that Kombo South Sports Committee interfered in their last dispute against Queen Park Rangers who decided that the game should be replayed.

”I believe this contradicts the constitution of  Tujereng Sports that states that any team that causes violence should forfeit their points.

However, “it was important for us to give peace a chance for Tujereng Sports to continue, for it is the expectation of everyone in this village to support sports, ”he noted.
