President Adama Barrow has to return to the kitchen and reheat the Mbahal or better still, introduce another ingredient to the Mbahal Cabinet.
Indeed, the departure of the late Dr. Alieu Badara Joof for eternal life has left President Barrow with a colossal task, considering his views of the late VP.
In all his eulogies to his former VP, President Barrow spoke highly of the late Dr. Joof as a man of caliber, timbre, and mettle.
Mr. Barrow has, through his eulogies, indicated that finding a replacement for his former No.2 would prove a herculean task.
Certainly, selecting a new Vice President should not be just a formality.
Meticulousness, therefore, is the keyword here.
However, we here at The Voice are not of the view that choosing a Vice President from the almost two million Gambians should be an issue.
According to President Barrow, the late Dr. Joof was a gentleman with par excellence, an intellectual, a reservoir of experience, a treasure in government, an international civil servant, a patriot, and others we could not capture here.
It is, therefore, clear here that a VP role is not a job for the boys.
