Khadijatou Jallow, a 22years old grade 11 student of Fatima Upper Basic and Senior Secondary School is seeking overseas treatment due to heart failure which doctors said cannot be treated in the country.
In an interview with The Voice, Sailu Jallow, a brother to Khadijatou said her sister was unable to complete her education due to her heart and liver failure which she has been suffering for far too long with no sign of progress.
Mr. Jallow said her sister was admitted at Bwiam General Hospital where she was on an oxygen machine for support before she was referred to Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital.
“We cannot take her outside the country for overseas treatment without the help of people because our financial background is not strong. Sometimes Doctors assign us to buy drugs that we cannot afford which is challenging for us.”
Mr. Jallow appealed to the government, philanthropies, and individuals to help evacuate his sister for overseas treatment.
