Fire victims receive assistance from Humanity First

Humanity First Gambia branch, an International Charitable organization on Saturday offered 

a humanitarian support to 3 victims of the December 11 fire outbreak in Kitty where a 7-year-old boy died with properties being destroyed.

The items include 10 bags of 25kg rice, gallons of oil, and onion, and each receives D500 transport refund during the presentation. 

Presenting the items to the victims, Baba Trawally, Amir of the Muslim Ahmadiyaa Jam’mat said the purpose of establishing the organization is to help the needy and called on the wealthy people to assist the poor because it all geared towards serving humanity. “The Government cannot do it all for that being the case we should come together as a community and society to help the needy and save the country from any form of disaster.”

According to him, the institution is in over sixty countries worldwide assisting natural and manmade disaster victims for the fact that life is not the same for everybody and people should assist one another. 

Momodou BK. Ceesay, Disaster Coordinator of the West Coast Region disclosed that on July 31st the organization supported fifty households in Jabang windstorms that had affected a lot of people in the West Coast Region and as a humanitarian institution came to assist at the right time.

He stated that the WCR was privilege to receive support in December alone as the region registered 20 families that were affected by the domestic fire where a six-year-old boy died in a fire outbreak, and some sustain serious injury.

 “Whoever spends money on the needy Allah will reward you in abundance. This support will assist the victims a lot because we know the fund spent on this is huge at this material time it will help greatly,” he said.
