The Ministry of Petroleum recently organized a two-day retreat for their staff to reflect on their work successes and lapses in 2022 for a better plan in 2023.
Speaking at the opening of the retreat, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Petroleum Amie Njie-Joof, said the forum will provide a platform for the staff of the ministry to take a glance at activities that they have implemented in the previous year.
Permanent Secretary Joof added, “This will also give an opportunity to educate and highlight some of the challenges in the implementation of these activities, and to see together how best we are going to improve our performance this year.”
She also said the maiden retreat will help them to set the target that they intend to achieve this year, and also give a timeline on how to achieve their target. “This will provide a platform for the petroleum Ministry whereby staff would interact among themselves to plan ahead of the 2023 activities.”
PS Njie-Joof called on the Participants to be attentive and interactive during the forum in order to attain the ultimate objective of the ministry.
On his part, Minister of Petroleum, Aboulie Jobe, urged his staff to encourage each other in administrative service delivery and work together as a team to achieve their goals.
“We should make sure what we have achieved in the ministry is moved to another level. This Job does not belong to any one of us, we are only given the opportunity to work and serve the people, and must work together as a team,” Minister Jobe said.
