NPP Karantaba Ward aspirant Councilor vows rapid development

By Musa o. Bah

The National People’s Party (NPP) aspirant candidate for Karantaba Ward in Sami District, Yusupha Jobe has promised to bring rapid developments to his people if voted into office in the upcoming local government elections.

In an interview with this reporter, Yusupha Jobe said Karantaba Ward is far behind in terms of developments because the previous Councillors have not done anything to the Ward.

Jobe highlighted the challenges at the Karantaba ward, such as the lack of skill center, water, and health care, and inhabitants suffering to have access to medical care, adding that the surrounding villages are also suffering from good feeder roads.

He stated that it’s a major challenge for them to reach the health center when an emergency happens which leads to many people losing their lives especially pregnant women in places like Njally Torro to Karantaba.

Jobe said the entire Sami has no Fire Rescue Service station and that is something that disturbs them during the dry season or when firebreaks occur in one of the villages, adding that they do lose lots of their properties because of lack of power to stop the fire.

Youths of Karantaba Ward have no standard football field,   I promised that when elected  I will make sure all the challenges my people are suffering come to end, if I am given the chance to be elected into office as a Councillor, I will bring changes that previous Councillors never brought. I will whip the tears of Karantaba Ward through developments,” he said.
