After a thorough investigation in an alleged illicit drug trafficking which involved collecting money with false pretence from Kebba Sosseh and Tallah Nyang, three police officers and a civilian man were charged with corruption
Samba Sowe, former Station Officer of Welingara Police Station together with his deputy, Gibril Jammeh, and the Head Investigation Unit,
Pa Nuha Camara together with Ebrima Sillah charged with eleven counts of corruption against the Republic of The Gambia.
According to their charge sheet filed before Bundung Magistrates’ Court Deputy Superintendent Samba Sowe, Chief Inspector Officer Gibril Jammeh, Inspector of Police Pa Nuha Camara, and Ebrima Sillah were charged with 11 counts of corruption ranging from conspiracy, theft, extortion, compounding felonies, official corruption and aiding prisoners to escape.
