Lack of Magistrate court proceedings affects four Appeal cases

By Mama A Touray

The lack of Magistrate Court proceedings affected the continuation of four cases before Justice Isatou Janneh of the Kanifing High Court

The four cases affected are the State vs Gibril Njie, Momodou Jarju, Sanna Camara, and Alagie Ceesay respectively.

The Cases could not proceed as the Kanifing High Court is not yet in possession of the record of proceedings from the magistrate court where the matters were judged and now set for an appeal.

Justice Isatou Janneh of the Kanifing High Court said in all four cases that there is no record of proceedings before the court, therefore the cases cannot proceed.

Meanwhile, she adjourned the cases to 4th May 2023 at 11:30 am, 11:45 am, and 12:30 respectively
