AE Ramassa, Catalonia, Spain recently donated sporting and learning materials to orphanage schools and football teams through Foundation Kalilu Jammeh in Jirom, Upper Badibou, North Bank Region
The donation provided an opportunity for interaction between beneficiaries and orphanage children, who are sponsored by the foundation from Lower Basic School to tertiary level including University Education.
The donors also visited a 2.5-ha banana plantation, an orphanage nursery school, an orange farm, and other environmental restoration activities.
Kalilu Jammeh the Founder and Chief Executive Officer underlined his organization’s commitment to improving the welfare of orphanages in the area of education, health, and agriculture.
He described the donation of sporting and educational materials as crucial in promoting grassroots football.
CEO Jammeh reiterated that the intervention is meant to address irregular migration and encourage youths to take up farming as a means to attain food self-sufficiency and employment creation.
Muhamed Marong, a beneficiary, thanked the Foundation for contributing to the human development of vulnerable youths to enable them to explore their potential. He said the sponsorship package enabled him to complete basic education and is now studying banking and finance at International Open University IOM.
Fatoumata Sonko hailed the foundation for supporting 200 orphans and vulnerable children from Badibous and Kombos. The support to beneficiaries has transformed lives in skill acquisition and thanked the foundation for the foresight.
