UDP Leader challenges Police to execute law without Favour

By Mustapha Jarju

Leader of the United Democratic Party (UDP), Hon Ousainou Darboe addressing the party militants in the West Coast Region over the weekend during the campaign of the UDP candidate for the chairmanship position of the Brikama Area Council, called on Inspector General of Police and the entire police fraternity to execute their duties in accordance with the law without favoring anyone.

Speaking on the issue of a woman who made audio against the Jola tribe pretending to be a UDP supporter, Hon Darboe urged the police to arrest her because what she said is sedition.

Unfortunately, she said the police released the woman because she is an NPP supporter.

“I am telling the police, do your job without favour, do your job with equality among people, anyone who is not in National People’s Party (NPP) if they do anything against the law arrests the person and apply the law and to every other party even if the person is NPP supporter whatever the law says should be applied”, he urged.

He added that there should be no discrimination.
