The local partner and Executive Director, NICK TC Scan Gambia Limited Mr. Bubacarr Kanteh, has affirmed his commitment to ensuring the effective implementation of the single window system in The Gambia.
He expressed that the Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) is the lead implementing agency for a Single Window System in The Gambia, he disclosed this recently during a massive stakeholder engagement held in his office at Tallinding.
The engagement brought together different stakeholders including government representatives and the media to brief them about the upcoming Single Window System in The Gambia.

According to the Executive Director, the system is to be implemented by Ghana Link Network Services Ltd (Ghana Link) and GRA in Partnership with NICK TC Scan Gambia Ltd and a Korean Company that owned the system, and it is currently in use in Ghana where it has proven to be effective.
Mr. Kanteh further explained that NICK Scan Gambia started operation in the Gambia closer to four years and this particular system is awarded to NICK Scan Gambia by the Government of the Gambia through the Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) to handle the scanning operations in the ports of Banjul.
He went further to explain that “we have been working with stakeholders and others to ensure changes and impact in the ports of Banjul compare to before the advent of NICK SCAN Gambia.”
He implored anyone that is operating in the service industry to get ready to go digital and avoid being left behind.
However, he urged the GRA to continue giving them their support so that they can quickly get it running in the Gambia.
Mr. Kanteh also stated that Nick Scan Limited is a fully owned and incorporated Ghanaian company that provides cargo scanning services for Non-Intrusive Inspection. This service complements international trade regimes where the need for security and fairness is essential.
