EU Ambassador on courtesy call to VP Jallow

The Vice President of the Gambia, Mohammed B.S Jallow, received in audience at the State House the European Union to The Gambia – Carrado Pampaloni, on Monday, 15th May 2023.

VP Jallow thanked the EU Ambassador for their support of the Gambia Government’s development agenda.

He noted that the European Union has been supportive of the development of Gambia’s socio-economic development.

Speaking to the media shortly after meeting with the Vice President, Mohammed B.S Jallow, the EU ambassador said he came to congratulate the Vice President for his recent appointment as VP.

Ambassador Pampaloni said the message he has for the Vice President was that the European Union is reliable and an old friend of this country. 

They’ve done many things together in this country and they would want to know the challenges and how to solve them.

He noted that he had a very pleasant conversation with Vice President in the areas of democratic transition, the rule of law, and governance, “we work on tourism and environment, women’s rights, women’s opportunities, schools, teaching TVET, and so on.

He further stated that they also assist the government in the areas of budget support, environment, agriculture, and resilience to climate change.
