CepRas: Accurate prediction reinforces transparency and accountability in local governance

Lamin Dampha, an Executive Director of the Center for Policy, Research, and Strategic Studies (CepRass) has echoed that CepRass’s accurate prediction of the election results reinforces the importance of transparency and accountability in local governance.

In his shared statement, Dampha said CepRass survey findings highlighted the need for improved road infrastructure and emphasized the significance of addressing community concerns such as food availability and waste collection, adding these insights contribute to informed decision-making and promote a healthy democratic discourse in the community.

“The vindication of CepRass’s opinion poll results is a testament to the organization’s commitment to fostering a fair, inclusive, and participatory electoral process. By providing accurate predictions and valuable insights, CepRass has played a crucial role in empowering voters and candidates alike.

“The organization’s dedication to sound research practices and its ability to accurately capture the pulse of the electorate establish CepRass as a reliable source for gauging public opinion and influencing democratic processes.”

The statement also stated that the success of CepRass’s opinion polls serves as a call to action for other organizations and stakeholders to recognize the importance of evidence-based decision-making and the role of public opinion in shaping electoral outcomes. 

 “The opinion poll conducted by CepRass provided valuable insights into the preferences, perceptions, and concerns of potential voters, and ultimately proved to be a highly reliable indicator of the electoral outcome. With a track record of predicting election results with nearly 100% accuracy, CepRass has established itself as a trusted authority in gauging public opinion.”

While the statement continued that “The vindication of the opinion polls conducted by CepRass is a testament to the organization’s meticulous research methodology and commitment to capturing the diverse voices and perspectives of the electorate. The survey encompassed a balanced representation of gender, age groups, and ethnic backgrounds, ensuring a comprehensive and accurate reflection of the voting population.”

According to the statement, one of the notable achievements of the opinion poll was its accurate identification of likely winners in different local government areas (LGAs). The poll correctly highlighted Talib Ahmed Bensouda, the UDP candidate, as the likely winner in Kanifing and predicted UDP Candidates in Banjul, West Coast Region, and Lower River Region as frontrunners. Additionally, the poll recognized the strong support for candidates from the NPP in various regions such as Basse, Janjanbureh, Kuntaur, and Kerewan. By accurately gauging the perceptions of potential voters, CepRass provided invaluable insights into the likely outcome of the elections.
