Baba F Trawally, the Amir of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jammat preached peace, security, and prosperity when addressing the LAJNA session ( Female Lead) of the 45th JALSA SALANA of the Jammat held at Old Yundum.

Speaking on Saturday at Masoor Senior Secondary School, he thanked Allah Almighty for His blessing and made them be in each other’s company to witness yet another blessed occasion of Jalsa Salana in The Gambia.

“As today mark yet another blessed Khilafat Day in our Jamaat I will like to urge members of Lajna Imaillah the mothers and the Nasiratul Ahmadiyya, the future leaders of tomorrow not only for our Jamaat but the world at large to remain attached, dedicated, loyal and sincere to the institution of Khilafat and the Khalifa of the time which is the source of all our successes and progress,” he expressed.

He said by remaining attached to Khilafat, will help save them from the evils and temptations of the world and also help them stay connected to the Lord and Creator, Allah Almighty when today the world turns its back on their Lord and Creator Allah Almighty.

It is only through the guidance and leadership of Khilafat, he continued that a divine institution blessed by Allah Almighty that they can be saved from the many temptations of the world and remain firm on their faith and improve themselves spiritually in other to fulfill the purposes of our creation which Allah Almighty says is to worship Him.

“Our beloved Khalifa, His Holiness Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V (May Allah be his Helper) addressing the members of Lajna Imaillah at Jalsa Salana France said: ‘…the world is moving away from God. A lot of people reject the existence of God in this society; this trend has also affected some Ahmadis, both young and old… in such an atmosphere, it is essential to bring oneself and one’s children closer to Allah,” he added.

Amir urged elders to present such examples in front of children that enable them to draw closer to Allah and His love. This responsibility is for men and women both. Allah and His Prophet(SAW) have placed the responsibility of the upbringing of children upon mothers, and this is no easy task.

“If Ahmadi women fulfill this responsibility, then we will have a generation of pious children… that along with being good examples, mothers must also pray for their children,” he disclosed.

However, he said, those mothers who show good examples and also pray for their children, most often than not, their children grow up to become pious and religious and more mindful of their parents’ rights.

From this address of Hazrat Khalifatul Mash, we can understand the important role that Islam laid down for women to play. As Muslim women, you should always be mindful of what you say or do in the presence of your children especially the younger girls because normally they will copy what you do. If mothers are paying attention to their prayers and always admonishing their children to do the same, then such families will be blessed with them.

He concluded that the younger girls “Please note that nowadays there are a lot of temptations out there and as Ahmadi Muslim girls and young ladies, you should always be on your guard and be always mindful. Try your best to stay modest, dress modestly and behave modestly. You should always be exemplary wherever you may be and others should learn from you.”

He continued that, nowadays, there is a free flow of boys and girls mixing and claiming to be having fun, but Islam has indeed forbidden such acts as it is immoral and it is against the teachings of Islam for boys and girls or men and women who do not have a certain family relationship to mix freely.

“Our girls should avoid such things and should never allow themselves to be exploited by any man outside nor should you be visiting any men or boys for the sake of saying he is my friend. Remember the Holy Prophet Muhammad Mustapha (SAW) said: “No man is alone with a woman but the Satan will be the third one present.” For that reason and to safeguard your integrity and dignity as women and girls and to protect your chastity, avoid such gatherings which sadly are very rampant in our today’s world,” he informed them.
