Gambia Football Federation Division Two men’s competition league leader TMT was defeated 4-0 by Bombada in Brikama on Sunday.
Goals from Zakaria Darboe, Muhammed Tamba, and a brace from Lamin Colley were enough to move Bombada to 7th with 48 points while TMT remains on 59 points.
BK Milan returned to winning ways with a 4-1 hammering of bottom side Kuteh Jombulu to climb to 4th on the standings with 52 points.
Ebrima Kinteh scored a brace and goals from Musa Sima and Alagie Kora were enough for the victory while Ebrima Manga got a 56-minute consolation for Kuteh.
Elsewhere, BST Galaxy failed to take full advantage of TMT’s loss as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Tallinding United at LOSFF in Yundum. Lamin Sarr gave BST Galaxy a 14th-minute lead and Sulayman Sidibeh restored parity a minute later in a share of the spoils.
BST Galaxy is now just 2 points adrift of leaders TMT while Tallinding United remained in 11th position with 30 points. Meanwhile, GPA Vs Latrikunda United and B4U Kiang West Vs Hart FC both failed to produce a clear winner as no goals were registered at full time.
In the Women’s competitions, Division One leader Red Scorpions recorded a hard-fought 1-2 defeat of Koita in Bakau with Kaddy Jatta’s early lead for Red Scorpions before Aminata Touray leveled matters for Koita in the 28th-minute,
Kumba Kuyateh scored the winner deep into additional time to restore her side 6 points lead on top of the standings.
Elsewhere, Anna Bojang’s goal in the 37 minutes was enough for Future Bi to record a vital 0-1 win over Jeshwang United in the early kickoff.
In the second tier Greater Tomorrow beat Yakarr 3-1 in an entertaining game played at the LYDSA, in Basori. Elizabeth Ndicky broke the deadlock at the stroke of 45 minutes before Mariatou Mendy leveled matters for Yakarr in the 75th minute and Mesinda Mendy scored a late brace to earn Greater Tomorrow maximum points.
