In a recent post shared on one of the online platforms, What’s On Gambia (WOG), a National Assembly member who preferred to remain anonymous due to the tense situation said the manner in which WOG accessed NAM’s data or information is unbearable.
“The platform is not meant for even staff of NA but strictly members. The information WOG gathered was sourced from NA members’ WhatsApp platform which is wrong,” he argued.
Thus, he said he didn’t disagree with them but he has an issue with the way the information was obtained and published for public consumption, adding what they shared was exactly from the individual members, so determining if they shared whether it was true or not may be difficult.
He noted that the Clerk’s Office made a publication to update the public, which seems accurate and precise, and that such can be averted if effective communication tools are put in place for public consumption
“Someone from the members shared the information with WOG. I believe we all consented to the vehicles even though some of us have a reservation. Some of us think it is costly considering our economic situation as a nation,” he expressed.
Meanwhile, he said investigations are ongoing regarding the leakage of the information to What’s on Gambia.
