The Auditor General of Drammeh Kunda Telecom Limited, Mafugi Bah, Before the Brikama Magistrates’ Court presided over by Magistrate Ebou Sowe, on Monday accused FamaraJadama of stealing over D37,000.00 from Drammeh KundaTelecom Limited.
PW1 who is Mafugi Bah disclosed to the court that when he was appointed to look into the daily financial transactions of DKTelecom Limited he noticed that there was missing cash of D37,500.00 from the DK Telecom Limited Brikama Branch. He said that prompted him to contact the accused, Famara Jadama, (the Branch Manager), and the accused sent him a manual deposit slip which he (Mafugi Bah) crossed checked and confirmed that no money was credited into the DK Telecom Limited account and he recorded it under DK Telecom Limited Brikama Branch.
”Upon my request for the deposit slip from the accused, he gave me a manual of GTBank deposit slip which I took to GTBank to ascertain what went wrong with the DK Telecom Limited account”, PW1 added.
Magistrate E Sowe at this juncture adjourned the matter for a continuation of the PW11 testimony.
Meanwhile, the statement of the offence stated that FamaraJadama on the 13th December 2022 at Drammeh KundaTelecom Limited Brikama Branch in the Republic of The Gambia being an employee of the said Telecom Limited stole the sum of D259,500 being the property of the said Telecom.
