Liberia Women’s Football Champions Determine Girls football club has announced the signing of Gambia international striker Catherine Jatta on loan from domestic side Police FC of the Gambia.
“We are pleased to announce that Gambian International Catherine Jatta has joined us on a loan deal from Gambia Club Police football club”, a statement from the club’s Facebook page announced.
The 22-year-old forward helped the Gambia win bronze in the West Africa Football Union (WAFU ) Zone A Women’s football Championship in Cape Verde 2023 scoring 7 goals in the process and twice winning player of the match award.
The former Police FC ace helped her security side finish 3rd in the just concluded Women’s domestic championship with 12 goals finishing as the second top goal scorer.
Catherine is said to have already arrived in Monrovia to join her mates. “The attacker safely arrived in Monrovia, and she will be available in training today Wednesday,” the club further wrote on their official Facebook page.
Catherine will join compatriots Ruggy Joof and MbasseyDarboe and will be under the guidance of Coach Tapha Mannehwho is currently in temporary charge of the Liberian club as they prepare for the WAFU Zone A club championship.
