Stellenbosch FC of South Africa have signed Gambia First Division club Real De Banjul FC winger Salifu Colley on a three year deal.

The young and highly rated Gambia U-20 winger was a key member of the young Scorpions squad at both the Afcon and FIFA U20 tournaments in Egypt and Argentina respectively where “Bayano” as he is fondly called helped out Young Scorpions reached the round of 16 Knock Out stage, losing to eventual champions Uruguay.
“Salifu is a young and talented footballer who has done exceptionally well last year, having excelled at the U20 World Cup and U20 AFCON”, Stellenbosch head coach Steve Barker said.
Coach Barker added that Colley has the potential to help the team. “He’s a very exciting talent and we are very pleased to have brought him on board and for the opportunity to help him develop and reach his full potential,” he concluded.
