Ministry Of Transport Holds 8thRetreat

The Ministry of Transport, Works and Infrastructure on Wednesday, 9th August 2023 organized a two-day sector retreat held at the Bakadaji Hotel in Kololi.

The annual retreat which is the 8th of its kind, brought together participants from the aviation, ports, maritime, transport, ferry service, and the National Roads Authority.

Speaking at the retreat, Honorable Ebrima Sillah, the Minister of Transport, Works and Infrastructure challenges the different sectors to redouble their efforts and delivered the needed services for the development of the country.

He said the retreat will serve as an opportunity for the sectors under his Ministry to showcase their success stories, plans for the year, challenges, and the way forward.

“We are not here to witch hunting anybody or any institutions. We are a family and we are here to look at each other’s work and give feedback on the different presentations from the different sectors,” he said.

Furthermore, Minister Sillah called on the sectors to try as much as they could to always be on their toes in order to have answers to queries and concerns from the public that they are serving. 

He finally assured them of his Ministry’s continued support and guidance.

Honorable Baboucarr Bouy, the Minister for Public Service who was in attendance, also called on the participants to work harder for the development of the country.

He commended the Ministry of Transport for organizing the retreat and recommended that other Ministries follow suit.
