Gov’t’s Three-Year Cumulative Expenditure OnExternal Travel Surpasses D1B-Madi

The Gambia government has spent more than one billion Dalasi on foreign travel in just three years, according to the NAM for Serekunda West.

Madi Ceesay yesterday reached out to The Voice to clarify that the Barrow government has used up D1.079, 380, 733. 10 in three years as opposed to the D491,777,057.74 figure that we attributed to him in our Monday publication. 

The SK NAM revealed that the Barrow government spent D258,078,482.86 on foreign travel in 2020 alone, adding that the government’s expenditure on travel jumped to D329,535,192.50 in 2021.

The Barrow administration spent D491, 777,057.74 in 2022, he stated.
