Imam Abdoulie Fatty Receives D400,000, cash donation

The Chief Executive Officer of the Gambia-Angola-China-Holdings Global Group (GACH), Dr. Abubakary Jawara on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 donated four hundred thousand dalasi (D400, 000.00) to Imam Abdoulie Fatty.

The donation was in response to the request made by the former State House Imam to the GACH Boss for support to help him (Imam Fatty) to develop an electronic television channel project.

The Imam said that the establishment and implementation of this project in the country would promote education and advocacy, spreading awareness and instill Islamic values among Muslims.

Fatty went on to say that, it would also ease the call for unity and tolerance among neighbors, maintain peace, security and stability in The Gambian.

According to Imam Fatty, he presented his request to Dr. Jawara because of his (Jawara) magnanimity, generosity, love of goodness, and initiative towards everyone near and far.

“This is what encouraged me to submit this letter to your honor concerning the electronic television channel project, which I aim to establish and implement in Our country, in the name of Islam and Muslims, and the ultimate Aim of that is education and advocacy, spreading awareness and moderate Islamic thought among Muslims, calling for unity and interdependence, maintaining security and stability in our Gambian society, and clarifying the rights of the Leaders from the perspective of Islam, and the appropriate ways to deal with that”.

Imam Fatty continues, to say that it is common knowledge to all and sundry the important and effective role played by Sunni scholars and preachers in this field, maintaining that if the project is implemented, it will make the work easier and easier, as its programs are focused on educating the community religiously, intellectually and Socially, by indicating the appropriate methods and solutions to confront and overcome the problems facing the Ratifuron various issues.

Dr. Abubakary Jawara reiterates that his money is to help the poor and needy in whatever way and means, noting that he finds pleasure in giving out with the little he has to those who are less privileged.

According to Dr. Jawara Islam should be the business of everyone, particularly the Muslims, and being a Muslim himself it’s a pleasure to give out what Allah blesses him with for the spreading and better understanding of the word of Allah.
