Police Officer narrates how a group of ladies arrested at a hideout of Dumus

Adam Saidy, a police officer, on 5th September, 2023 narrated how a group of ladies were arrested at an alleged criminal hideout called Dumus in Brikama, West Coast Region at the call of the case at Brikama Magistrates’ Court presided over by Principal Magistrate Sallah Mbai.

The PW1 Adam Saidy said that Anthony Anita, Chima Joy ,Favour Ehikioya ,Victor Ubabuko ,Rita Charle , CallistasChimaka , Blessing Godwin , Isiwele Favour ,Chiwendu Okafor , Erika Omorodion , Blessing Alfred and Goodness John were arrested by a team of Anti-Crime Police Officers in an alleged criminal hideout at Durumakolong, Brikama.

Adam Saidy explained that a team of Anti-Crime Police Officers raided suspected criminal hideouts within Brikama and its diverse places.

However, ”when they received information regarding an alleged criminal hideout at Durumokolong in Brikama a team of Anti-Crime Police were dispersed into the premises where they found two security men on guard. After identifying ourselves to them (alleged security men) we entered the house and found ladies in a group in the corridor”, Saidy told the court.

Defense counsel Lamin K. Mboge tried to pin PW1 Adam as he (counsel Mboge ) questioned him to define a criminal. 

At its peak, prosecutor M. Jarra Ngum applied for an adjournment and pleaded to the court for her witness to be discharged at the dock.

Meanwhile, the charge pressed against the arrested group of ladies stated that on the 5th of August 2023 at DurumakolongKombo Central West Coast Region in the Republic of The Gambia, they were found behaving in a disorderly and indecent manner in public places.
