The director of intelligence at the state narcotics agency last Friday mounted the podium at the University of Buckingham, UK, where it was announced that he graduated with a Master of Arts in Security, Intelligence,and Diplomacy with distinction.
Mr. Lamin J. Gassama received a thundering ovation as he calmly and confidently walked the podium to receivethis prestigious academic accolade from a prestigious university.
In the full glare of high-profile invited guests, including scholars in different facets of study, Mr. Gassama walked the stage with effortless grace to receive his hard-earned award, knowing fully well that he was making The Gambia proud.
He recently travelled to the UK filled with excitement for last Friday’s graduation ceremony but his excitement reached beyond-the-expectation point when his name reverberated across the venue for the award ceremony as one of the students, who made the university proud.
The Voice has seen a video that showed invited guestsand students, looking intently at the Gambian with admiration as he proudly walked towards the guest of honour to receive the well-deserved scintillating academic award.
