The Grant Management Committee (GMC) and the Gambia Press Union could undergo investigation and possible prosecution if they fail to return D585,159.86 to the Accountant General’s Department in 10 days.
The country’s umbrella press body must return this sum within the specified period and if it falters, the IGP will launch an investigation for possible prosecution.
The nearly D6m, according to FPAC, was the unused COVID-19 relief money meant to support media houses.
