Five Graduate from Imam Malick Institute

Imam Malick Institute for Memorization of the Holy Qur’an in Kerewan on Saturday graduated 5 students – 1 girl and 4 boys, the five graduates have memorized the complete Holy Qur’an. 

The graduation was held at the school grounds in Kerewan, North Bank Region. The school over the years contributed tremendously to inculcating Islamic knowledge in students to enhance the propagation of Islam. 

The students were presented with certificates of merit and hard work. Oustass Omar Touray, principal of the school described the graduation as an additional achievement in promoting Islamic Knowledge. 

Since the establishment of the school in 2013, he said it has graduated 11 students who have completely memorized the Holy Qur’an.

The principal said the students had completed four years of intensive studies while he enjoined parents to be vigilant and support the search for Islamic knowledge. He thanked HawaAbubacarr Hydara for being the first girl to memorize the Quran. 

Alhaji Dembo Jawara, a key funder of the Qur’an memorization center, Bakary Fatty, representative of the Alkalo, OustasBafanding Hydrara, 

Alhaji Jawo Drammeh, an adviser to the school, KemoMuhammad Suwareh Fatty lecturer at Islamic University at Talindinkunja, and Sulayman Masanneh Ceesay expressed delight and advised the graduated students to be goodwill Ambassadors and continue to pursue their education and skills development to a higher height.
