The Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (DLEAG) has taken into custody a Gambian lady after she was allegedly nabbed with suspected Cannabis Sativa.
Five Gambian men were also remanded in custody by the State anti-narcotics agency on allegations of being found in possession of suspected marijuana and other drugs for the purpose of trafficking. They were reportedly arrested at various locations in The Gambia.
According to DLEAG, one Kaddy Sonko was found in possession of 15 bundles and some quantities of suspected Cannabis concealed in a barrel and a 20l gallon.
The agency also reported that a certain Bakary Saho was on 30 Sept. arrested with 20 pieces of suspected Cannabis resin.
It also said one Malick Sanneh was apprehended with one bundle and some quantities of suspected marijuana whilst a certain Ousman Colley was arrested in possession of 490 wraps of suspected Cannabis Sativa.
Meanwhile, the drugs control agency said two individuals were also taken into custody following their arrests over possession of 46 wraps of suspected Kush, resin and five pills of ecstasy.
