Principal Magistrate Sallah Mbai of the BrikamaMagistrates’ Court recently ordered a cashew dealer, Sheikh Camara, to pay over D90, 000 to one Modou Sarrfor a breach of contract.
Sarr filed a claim against Camara for his failure to honor his side of an agreement in a cashew transaction.
Camara admitted to the claim and promised to refund Sarr’s D92,000.
He was meantime ordered to pay damages of D5, 000 for breach of contract.
Magistrate Mbai acknowledged that since Camara did not deny Sarr’s claim, she shall enter judgment in Sarr’s favor.
She, therefore, ordered Camara to pay Sarr’s D92, 000 on or before 28 February 2024.
She also ordered Camara to pay D1050 as the cost for court service.
