Groupe Supdeco Dakar in collaboration with the Management Development Institute (MDI) The Gambia on Saturday graduated more than 100 students who have completed their academic requirements which include Bachelor, Postgraduate, and Masters Degree.
The graduation held at the Sir Dawda International Conference Center, Bijilo marked the maiden edition of the Groupe SupdecoDakar collaboration with the Management Development Institute (MDI) graduation ceremony.
The graduated students were accredited by the National Accreditation and Quality Assurance Authority (NAQAA) of The Gambia, and also the Automatic National of Senegal.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Professor Pierre Gomez, Honourable Minister for Higher Education Research Science and Technology (MoHERST), extended his warmest congratulations to the graduates.
He said their academic success has signified a promise of a brighter, and prosperous future for The Gambia while he recognized and celebrated the collaboration between MDI and Groupe Supdeco which he said will enable students to access quality education right in their country.
Professor Gomez encouraged the graduates to join the change in academic growth as the change is coming, so they can continue on their academic journey.
The chairperson of MDI-Supdeco Governing Body, Madam Juka Jabang in her welcoming remarks thanked the admin and staff of both institutions for their hard work.
Also, she congratulated and thanked the graduates, parents, and sponsors for the trust they have in them to choose these institutions to further their academic requirements.
Madam Jabang elaborated on the partnership between the two institutions saying Supdeco Dakar is a fast-growing educational institution that presently runs twelve training centers in three cities in Senegal and the program offered in the various schools included Management, transport logistics, finance, trade, marketing, and communication as well as digital energy.
She described this as a groundbreaking entity in higher education in Senegal and it was acknowledged as one of the prominent private institutions in Francophone Africa.
She explained further that the MOU signed between the two institutions in 2019 led to the creation of a university extension program on the MDI campus and the mutual advantage and opportunities for the exchange of professors, administrative staff, and qualified students to carry out joint research projects to assist MDI in the development of academic and professional programs.
Mr. Aboubacar Sedikhe SY, CEO of Groupe Supdeco Dakar in his remarks congratulated and welcomed graduates to the community of more than 25 thousand and new life.
