Ndemban Clinic has been reportedly turning awaypatients due to lack of space but the chief medical director at EFSTH has refuted these reports, explaining that the clinic still admits patients.
Reports were rife in town that space at the government-owned clinic was increasingly shrinking, leading to some patients being refused admission there.
“It is false,” Dr. Jafari said of the reports. “The clinic is full to capacity but they still accommodate patients. They just have challenges in giving beds to patients but they never rejected patients,” he elucidated.
Dr. Jafari, however, admitted that limited space at the clinic has been compelling patients to sleep on the floor even though the health professionals there strive to provide the best medical care.
