The Delegation from The Gambia will join the rest of their counterparts to take part in the 9th Edition of the Salon International Textiles of African (SITA) holdings in Conakry from the 6th to 11th November 2023.
The Gambia delegation will participate in all the activities which include the International Parade of African Traditional and Industrial Attire, the exhibition and sale of African Textile, a master class in Modeling, an international conference on African Textile, a fashion show on the various African Textiles and Cotton Night under the theme: Labeling, a vector in the fight against piracy in the African textile industry.
The Gambian delegation for the SITA 2023 will be headed by Sainey M. Ceesay, Head of Marketing, National Centre for Arts and Culture. It also includes Yaws Creation and Balla Musa Jaiteh, the Textile Artist whose materials were used to dress The Woman King Movie cast.
The 8th edition of this international textile of African was held in Lome, Togo in 2022.
