President Adama Barrow has appointed Musa AmulNyassi as the Deputy Executive Coordinator for the Kanifing Municipality.
The deputy executive coordinator position is an equivalent of the deputy regional governor, The Voice gathered.
The Voice has learned that the government is working on the creation of regional administrative offices in the Kanifing Municipality and Banjul.
This medium could not though immediately establish which laws or acts the creation of the office of executive coordinator is inspired by.
The former Foni Kansala National Assembly Member confirmed his appointment but could not say when exactly he will assume office and where.
He, however, said he had yet to send his acceptance letter to the President.
“I received the letter on Tuesday and I am reviewing it,” MrNyassi told The Voice when contacted yesterday.
He described his appointment as a challenge and a call to national duty. Nyass vowed to tighten his belt to live up to expectations.
