Awa Jonga, known by her sobriquet Awa Gambia, is a young, multi-talented Gambian lady born and raised in The Gambia. This young multi-talented lady is a singer known for her wonderful skills and heart-pleasing songs with a melodious voice. Among other things, she is also good at songwriting and dancing, which makes her one of the unique entertainers ever produced in The Gambia.
Awa Gambia has in her slip lots of released hits including ” AllEyez On Me,” which featured ST da Gambian’s Dream, Taking Over Now, and many more.
Moving on, in October 2022, Awa Gambia released her debut music album.
This damsel singer captured the attention and affection of people in 2013 when she finished among the top rank in the famous Senegalese TV singing competition called Sen Petit Galle Star Competition, she is now ready for yet another adventure as she launched her newly formed band, called the “Controller.”
Alie Wally, Awa Gambia’s manager introduced her as a phenomenal superstar in The Gambia for forming her new band called Controllers.
He described this as a collaboration that represents the fusion of talent, passion, and creativity while assuring fans and music lovers of having a superstar with wider experiences in playing instruments to produce the best.
“In 2013, Awa represented The Gambia in Senegal with a live band at Sen Petit Galle playing before a large crowd comprised some thousands of people,” Alie Wally said full of excitement.
He attributed Awa Gambia’s present success in the industry by forming a band to the support and unconditional love accorded her as a Gambian.
With full fledge, Alie Wally announced that Awa Gambia is having her band “We are now live band musicians with our band.”
