A youth Dawda Trawally is expected to return to the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court in January of next year for criminal proceedings against him after he denied guilt for allegedly stealing money and a pair of shoes.
Trawally appeared before Magistrate Mben Faal on Thursday to answer charges of theft.
He’s alleged to have stolen CFA 40,000, 400 euros and a pair of shoes from one Absa Samba at Kerr Serign in October of this year. The pair of shoes was valued at D2,500.
The stolen money and shoes were valued at D34,900.
He was given a D50,000 court bail and must have a surety of Gambian nationality, who must possess a valid ID card.
The IGP was represented by Sub-Inspector Kebbeh.
