The Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) has embarked on a conscious journey to strengthen communication and knowledge sharing with the public as part of efforts to modernize its revenue mobilization.
In a statement, GRA says it is against that background that the authority launched its new website on the 16th of November 2023 at Revenue House, Banjul. ‘’The new website introduces key services that enhance our self-assessment tax system. These services include the online tax calculators (where taxpayers can compute their taxes), and the Staff Identification tool (where taxpayers and the general public can verify the identity of GRA officers attending to them)’’. The new website also introduces geospatial tools that enables the public to ‘’easily access and navigate to our office locations throughout the country.’’
Deputizing for the Commissioner General, Mr. Essa Jallow the Deputy Commissioner General & Head of Domestic Taxes thanked the World Bank (Gambia Fiscal Management Project) for their support and expressed optimism that the Website will significantly facilitate the sharing of information. He further stated that the new website would improve GRA’s ‘’visibility, strengthen our credibility, and deepen our relevance among our esteemed stakeholders.’’
He concluded by thanking their esteemed taxpayers for their continued support and cooperation and wish to encourage all to always visit the website (www.gra.gm) for updates on information.
