Peoples Republic of China (PRC) and some Gambians recently inaugurated a new friendship association with a view towards promoting better friendship and more collaboration between Gambians / South East Asians.
The Friendship Association of China-Gambia was inaugurated at Laybato Hotel in Fajara.
The Gambia appointed Ambassador-At-large in South East Asia, Aixinjueluo Yuhao hailed the day as historic “where we come together to celebrate the strong bonds of friendship and collaboration that unite our two brotherly nations.”
The ambassador who is the founder says the new association is in line with the everlasting spirit of China—Africa friendship and cooperation. This, he says, is based on sincere friendship and equality. “Win-win for mutual benefits. This truly captures the relations of China and Africa”.
According to him, the association is not merely symbolic, but a platform for tangible and mutual benefits. “It will promote cultural exchanges, educational opportunities and economic collaboration between our nations.”
“The global challenges we face today, whether they be environmental, political or socio-economic, require international solidarity and collaboration”.
